There may be no better way to truly understand architecture than to try to draw it. Architect Julia Morgan trained this way at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts at the dawn of the 20th century and now you can, too, albeit for just a week-long taste. Organized by the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), the “Christopher H. Brown Paris Drawing Tour” heads to the City of Light in October. The course offers 45 AIA LUs, and a limited number of scholarships are available to help defray the $2,700 cost (for non-ICAA members.) See the ICAA website for details.
