We at Residential Design magazine are saddened to learn of the sudden death of Brad Lynch, founder and president of Brininstool + Lynch in Chicago. Brad served on our jury for the inaugural RDAA competition in March 2020. He was a wise and discerning juror with a keen eye for quality in residential design, a skill developed through his own impressive accomplishments in the field.

The next year, he entered a residential project he had designed to the 2021 RDAA competition and it promptly earned an award. We will miss his future contributions to residential architecture just as we admired his previous ones.
